This amazing Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast. Is slow cooked to perfection and is the perfect combination of beef vegetables and potatoes. It is perfect of anytime you want an amazing meal.

This meal has been a round for centuries and has been continuously perfected. It start with a roast that had nice marbsling and vegetables to help give addonral flavor. We do sear the the roast to help bring out extra flavor

Ingredients
- olive oil- used to help the roast sear in the skillet helps added flavor and make a crust on the roast
- chuck roast (or rump roast) it is a great peice of meat for slow cooking had nice marbling and is relatively inexpensive
- black pepper - helps to bring out the natural flavors of the meat and vegetables
- salt- helps to bring out all the natural flavors
- carrots- helps add widme nice color to the dish and also adds some really amazing sweetness. Slow cooking make them so soft
- red onion- helps add some really amazing flavor
- 1 pound potatoes helps feel out the meal so that you have a complete meal all in one crockpot
- garlic - helps add and amazing flavor
- dried thyme- helps added amazing flavor
- beef broth- help make sure there is plenty of juice and helps to tenderize the meat and vegetables
- 2 tablespoon yellow mustard- helps add and some zing to the flavor
- 1 teaspoon basil- this is a nice sweet herb that we feel like helps balance the flavory
- onion powder- helps to make sure the onion flavor get though the whole meal and just in some parts.

Making the pot roast
Season and sear-season in the pot roast on all sides of salt and pepper heat up skillet, medium high heat, and sear all sides of the roast. Then place Slow cooker.
Make sauce-Add beef broth and other seasonings into the skillet that was used to heat the to get all the flavoring mixed together. Well pour over the top of the roast.
Slow cook-you should now have the roast the slow cooker now add the vegetables around and then add the sauce on top of that. Turn on for eight hours on low
Serving -place roast on a platter with vegetables around. rest for at least 10 minutes. Whale it resting reduce the fluids from the slow cooker to make a nice gravy. Slice up and enjoy.

Tips for the best roast
Cut up thr potatoes so they are about the same size
Make sure to cook to an internal temperature of 145F to make sure it is safe to serve with a thermometer
Let rest before serving about 10 minutes. Before slicing up and serving
Use extra juices to make a reduction gravy for addintal amazing flavor

Variations
Try using a different potato like red potatoes or a sweeter version with using sweet potatoes
try adding mushrooms and celery to the veggies as additional flavor
Try using red wine instead of using beef broth

Storing
Break in tidivdual meal in air tight constrained for up to 5 days. You can also freeze by putting in a freezer safe bag and then store for up to 3 months
Reheating :The best way to reheat is to heat it up in the oven at 350F tell it is heated though.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3-4 lb chuck roast or rump roast
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 large carrots peeled, halved lengthwise, and cut 11/2-2" long
- 2 medium red onion large dice
- 1 lb russet potatoes
- 6 carrot but in half and cut about 1 inch
- 5 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1½ cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Season all sides of the roast with salt and pepper
- Heat large skillet to medium high heat sear each side of the chuck roast for about 3 to 5 minutes this is the Browing, the meat and help bring out extra flavor. add oil if necessary
- Add cuck rost to slow cooker place carrots, potatoes and onions around roast
- Added beef brooth,mustard, basil,thyme and onion powder to skillet and mix tell combined. Pour over meat and vegetables.
- Cover and let cook for 8 hours on low
- Remove the meat from slow cooker and cut in thick slices
- Plate and then added vegetables
- You can make gravy out of juices by cooking down the juices from the slow cooker. Which is delicious addition
