How to make potstickers
Make the filling: You are going to start by cutting up the cabbage into small pieces so that it is mixed smaller the better in a lot of ways so that it is easier to mix then add protein and season and mix it together.
Fill wrappers: you're going to lay out some wrappers and put in one tablespoon of filling to each wrapper
Close and pleat wrappers: add a little water around the outside edge so that the wrapper will stick to itself and then you're going to fold in half and press the edges together.
Cooking: your then going to heat the pan with some oil over medium heat. Then add dumplings to the pan and let cook for about 5 minutes then add a little water to steam and cover to hold in the steam let steam for about 5 minutes.

Ingredients you will need
- Cabbage- bring a nice earthy bitter fast and give them a little color
- Ground pork- you can use any ground meat but in this case, we are using ground pork
- Black pepper- helps add some flavor
- Soy sauce- gives you the salt you need for flavor to come out and gives you an umami flavor as well which I still can't explain
- Rice vinegar - gives a nice tangy flavor
- Dumpling wrappers— if you didn't have these they wouldn't be dumping/pot stickers they would be more like little meatballs
- Cooking oil- so that they crisp up nicely in the pan and don't stick and helps add some color
- Water - needed for closing the wrappers and for steaming the pot stickers

Variations that you could make:
- Protein - change the protein using to use ground turkey or chicken
- Vegetable- use mushrooms to get some of the same feel as meat or you can just use a different vegetable mix
- Sweet - can make a sweet version with strawberries or other fruit
- More traditional - use green onion, and oyster sauce and ginger
