    Ground beef and broccoli Bowl

    If you're looking for a simpler alternative to beef and broccoli, ground beef with broccoli is an amazing dish that requires only a few simple ingredients. Heat the broccoli in a pan, steam it slightly, and cook some beef. You can even break up the beef into tiny chunks to make it easier for kids to eat. To make this dish, you'll need half a pound of ground beef, two crowns of broccoli, and two tablespoons of soy sauce. Serve it with some rice on the side and the whole family will love ground beef and broccoli!

    Other versions that you can try 

    If you like a nice stir fry then this is a great option to be able to try a few different ways 

    Change the protein change out the beef for some chicken or sausage.

    You could also have this with some peppers as well.

    You can also change up what you have it on. Normally we have this with rice rice but you could have this with some noodles, I know a lot of people that really like to have it on Cauliflower rice as well.

    Ingredients that you will need 

    • ground beef - the ground beef makes it easy to get it in smaller bites so that you an make sure to have some with each bite if that is how you want to have it.
    • Soy sauce - this is the base of that sauce this also help give a little more color to the dish
    • Garlic- this adds a  nice aroma and we love the flavor that garlic adds  
    • Heads of broccoli. - This is what we break up for the broccoli It way has a nice snap to it. 
    • Seasoning - Salt pepper is going to be your seasoning.
    • Corn starch - this is going to help the sauce to be able to hold on and will thicken it some.
    • Cup Cooked rice -this is going to be the bed of your bowl.

    How to make the bowl 

    Start by cooking the ground beef in a pan and break it up as you're cooking added the sauce and garlic as ist is cooking. One it is about done add the broccoli to the pan as well  and mix together added a lid to the top of it so help the broccoli steam. This part is really going to depend on you if you want it less then heat up the broccoli and pull it off or if you like it to be a little less chirp you can leave it a little longer, Just dont leave it to long.

    How you can store it

    You can store it in an air-tight container for 3 days in the fridge from the data that we see and you can keep it in the freezer for up to 3 months.

    Ingredients Method Notes

    Ingredients
      

    • ½ pound of ground beef
    • 2 Garlic
    • 2 heads of broccoli.
    • Salt pepper to taste
    • Corn starch if need for thickening
    • 1 ½ Cup Cooked rice

    Method
     

    1. To make this dish, start by heating up a pan on medium-high heat to get a nice
    2. Once the pan is hot, add the ground beef and break it up into smaller pieces using a spatula.
    3. You can flip the beef over after a few minutes to ensure it cooks evenly.
    4. While the beef is cooking, chop up the broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
    5. Once the beef is browned, add the chopped broccoli to the pan. You don't need to add any oil since the beef has enough fat.
    6. If you feel like it needs more oil, add a bit of cooking oil to the pan.
    7. Then, add some sauce and other seasonings like salt and soy sauce. Be careful not to add too much salt since soy sauce already has a lot of it.
    8. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for a few minutes until the broccoli is tender or warmed to your taste .
    9. You can adjust the heat as needed.
    10. Heat up rice and then fill with the rice and then add the beef and brocclie on top if desired added aditital soy sacuse
    11. Enjoy your delicious dish!

    Notes

    Using hamburger patties makes it easier to break the ground beef, and it's also versatile for other recipes. You can use the whole broccoli, including the stem, to avoid wasting any part. Make sure to trim off the very end of the stem and ensure that the florets are firm.
