    Easy Chicken Fajitas

    Chicken Fajitas have always been one of my favorites as they are so simple to make and you get to wrap them up in a tortilla. This is a popular Mexican dish made with Chicken, peppers, and onions that are cooked tell the perfect tenderness. Then wrap them up with your favorite toppings for the family for Easy Chicken Fajitas.

    One of my favorite thing about this recipe is that you make it at home so you can have as many tortillas as you want I always seem to run out and feel too embarrassed to ask for some more. This is also a great way to be able to save some money.

    You will also be able to make sure that you have the topping that you want to have with them so that you can truly make these Fajitas your own or you can make them in a different way you can have them with salad, rice or the traditional way with tortillas So give them a try it is delicious!

    No need to go to the restaurant when you can make them at home 

    Very  versatile from what protein you use to the vegetables and seasoning you use to make them

    The ways to serve this dish are endless from plain to topping something or wrapped in a tortilla

    Chicken Fajita ingredients:

    • Chicken breast - this protein is the central part of the meal 
    • Bell peppers - give this dish amazing color when you use read yellow and green  bell peppers and also give a nice fresh taste 
    • White onions add onion flavor  and crunch 
    • Minced garlic has a nice garlic taste 
    • Dried spices  as a spice and extra flavor 
    • Italian dressing - it is the main sauce that is used to flavor these easy chicken fajitas 
    • Tortillas -  this is going to be the utensil that is used to get the fajitas into your mouth and give a nice flavor.

    How to make Chicken fajitas

    Prep - Chop up the vegetables and season the chicken 

    Brown the chicken - this added some extra flavor to the chicken. Start by heating a pan with a little cooking oil and season the chicken with chili powder, salt, and pepper. Place one side down tell it is browned then flip over tell cooked.

    Chicken does not need to be all the way cooked at this time as it will conutinue to cook after you take it off and you will be adding it back to the heat.

    Cook the vegetables 

    Mix together and add back in the chicken and pour the rest of the  Italian dressing over the top cooked and then ready to serve 

    Normally we put out the sour cream as a topping it is about a tablespoon or more for each another great thing to go with it is guacamole.

    Can I use a different protein?

    Yes, you can use any protein you want some of our other favorites are Pork or beef

    Do I have to have tortillas?

    Not you can make them with lettuce wraps eat plain or topping for some rice

    What is the difference between fajitas and tacos?

    Well in our home it is the fact that you Cook the contents altogether. And just put in the tortilla and may add sour cream or salsa to there where a taco whereas a taco you get to pick each thing that goes into it but in a restaurant, I think tacos make made where fajitas you get to put together.

    Easy Chicken Fajitas

    Ingredients Equipment Method

    Ingredients
      

    • 4 Large Chicken Breasts
    • 1 bottle Italian dressing
    • 4 Bell Pepers Any color that you like we like a mix
    • 1 Large omion
    • 1 Packet of flour tortillas
    • Sour cream add to taste
    • 1 teaspoon Chili powder

    Equipment

    • 1 Frying pan or skillet
    • 1 Spachla

    Method
     

    1. If you would like to marinate the meat overnight that is a good idea but if you forget or are just in a hurry you can just pour the sauce in when you are cooking.
    2. Cut up the meat in the Slices
    3. Brown meat in a frying pan
    4. Cut up the vegetables
    5. If you have not added the sauce yet add it now
    6. Slice up the bell pepper and onion and added in mix in with sauce
