This dish is ready to be served and is being carried to the table

I have had a lot of favorite breakfast growing up. But this one has really stuck with me it's kind of funny how when you do a thing just a few times when your a kid, it starts to become a tradition in your mind, and I think that's one of these breakfasts when we would go fishinthere is alittle cafe that we would pass. There were a few times that we would stop and get breakfast on the way there or the way back. I would normally get the biscuits and gravy. We haven't been back in a really long time but every time we go past that cafe I think about it.

Sausage has been cooking in the pan it was left in a little long so part of it has a little black burn on it

    Ingredients

Biscuits - biscuits are probably the hardest thing to make this recipe. So we normally use them from the can

Thinkiner - flour is what we normally is but I know that some people prefer to use cornstarch

Milk - this is what we are using for creams so you could also use cream or half and half instead

Seasoning - normally we just use salt and pepper for this.

Sausage has been cooking the milk and peper have been added and now flour has been added and is still floating in the top before it is mixed in. Milk has already change color from the grease that was left in the pan
Where did biscuits and gravey come from?

From what I could find it originated around the samr time as the revolution war and some people think it came from saw mill works as the white gravy is some times called mill gravey

Can I use something other then milk for gravy?

Yes, you can you half and half

    What sausage should we use?

You can use what ever sausage that you want but we like to us maple sausage and the sage has also been really growing on us

Are American and British brisket different

    Yes, they are quite different
America -  these style biscuit are light and fluffy they are closer to what British would call a scone
British -  these style crunchy snd crisp so they are closer to what americans would call a cookie or a cracker

Biscuits have just been pulled out of the oven they are a nice golden color and have fluffed up nicely

This is an amazing harty breakfast that we love all year round!

Two biscuits are in a plate and country gravy has been ha been added to them the biscuits have a golden color and the gravy is full of sausage and is a tan color and it little thinker then most gravy we have had
