    Pepper and mushroom  frittata

    This is an amazing recipe. That is simple to make. Just need to cut up some amazing vegetables like bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms, then combine eggs and cream mixed and throw them in the oven. It’s just as simple as that you’re having an amazing pepper and mushroom frittata.

    If you have never had a frittata before you may wonder what it is and think that it is like a quiche you would be right they are pretty similar other than for a frittata you use more eggs and less milk or cream so it is a little more hardy then a crustless quiche and is more like a large omelet. You also make it in on pan that is safe to put in the oven as you cook the first on the stove and then finish on the stove.

    There are so many variations and you can customer it to how you like 

    Can be a good source of protein and vegetables 

    A lot faster then making individual omelets easier 

    You can serve it nice and warm or you can serve it and a temp

    Making the frittata

    Prep you start by chopping up all of your vegetables and then sautéing them in a pan with a little bit of oil typically I’ll either use butter or some bacon grease to help. This is usually the amount of oil that she for that is enough to protect the sides guild to make it so that it doesn’t stick.

    Preparing to bake you’re gonna make your egg mixture by mixing the milk or heavy cream and your eggs and then pouring it over your sautéed vegetables then you’re gonna put it in the oven at 3:50 for about 15 minutes

    To make sure it’s done just pull it out put a toothpick in and make sure that it’s not Iggy in the middle still, you can use a toothpick to do this by poking at it comes out clean. You should be ready to eat.

    Egg mix has been added over onions and mushrooms and cheese has been added on top of that you can see some mushrooms sticking out

    Ingredients

    Eggs - Help make the base of the dish and hold it all together you will want to use large eggs.  I have had people ask if you can use egg white but I have not been able to get it to work with just whites

    Heavy cream - I like how this makes it creamy but you could use any milk but there will some some different 

    Bell pepper helps to add flavor t and color to the dish j like to use the small one so that I can use the whole thing and have a few different colors

    Onions help add some nice flavor 

    Mushrooms help bring a nice earthy ness to the dish and there is just something special with them that I can't find words to explain 

    Garlic helps bring out some amazing flavor

    Seasoning  - salt and pepper and onion powered this we use as they help enhance the other flavors and help to make sure that the flavors are thought out

    Just pulled out of the oven cheese has melted and eggs have cooked and thickens and ready to serve

    Tips for making Frittata 

    Evenly  spread out the ingredients and other ingredients before adding the egg mixture 

    Try adding different herbs to change up the flavor 

    Frittata has been cooked and a slice has been pulled out and a slice has been cut out of it

    Make ahead of time 

    This is a great recipe for food prep as you can cook it and then save it in the refrigerator with ease as you can save it in the fridge for up to 4 days. You may want to put them in the freezer  but if you have added tomatoes or avocado then they do not freeze well and can make it wet and rubbery if you do not let them through over time 

    To reheat: you can use the microwave to heat this some time can do the same thing of making it rubbery. You can also heat it in the oven at 350 for about 10 to 15 minutes  make sure to cover it so that it does not dry out

    FAQ

    How is a frittata and omelet different ?

    Omelet is cooked all on the stove top and the frittata on the stove top and then finishes in the oven

    Is there a formal for frittatas ?
    Some would say yes 6 eggs to ¼ milk and 2 cups added once but we have changed it some for what we have liked but if you look that is what you  tend to see.

    Ingredients
      

    • 8 Eggs
    • ½ cup Heavy cream
    • 3 small Bell peppers
    • 1 small Red Onions
    • ½ cup Mushrooms
    • 3 cloves Garlic
    • Salt & pepper to taste
    • ½ teaspoon Onion powder
    • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded

    Equipment

    • oven safe pan

    Method
     

    1. Pre heat oven to 400F
    2. I like to start gathering all the ingredients that I need for this recipe
    3. Chop the vegetable abs to exercise that you desire usually, I leave the mushrooms a little bit bigger but everything else I cut up relatively small so that gets evenly and so the kids don’t notice it as much
    4. I like to sauté the vegetables and some bacon flour or some butter. I’ll use margarine if you would like to help out the flavor of them, mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers.
    5. Next mixture, cream and eggs together well then pour over the top of your vegetables
    6. And cheese and place in oven to bake for 15 or tell eggs have set or tell they reach temperature of 160F
    7. serve and enjoy

Have a nice color, light and fluffy and see a dark layer caramel on side of the other monkey bread it does look a little bit dark on this one. We were a little bit close to burning it.       I love how easy you've made this frittata recipe. Your step by step instructions are perfect… and I loved your suggestion to use different herbs to change up the flavor. This is the perfect way to do brunch... with hardly any effort!

      We try we to make this recipe really simple so that it is easy to make and no overwhelming. Think this works great and hope that you enjoy. Like that you can cut it up to serve people how much they want as well

      Dude I made this recipe and my frittata turned out fine. But your recipe needs some serious editing to remove errors and words that dont make sense. First, the ingredient list calls for pipettes but should be peppers. And the ingredient list has no mention of cheese or what kind or how much. But the end of the recipe calls for cheese. Is it baked in or is this a garnish? Some of this might be gleaned from watching the video, but the written recipe should be clear on its own. FInally, the end of the recipe does not say to bake the frittata in the oven. This step is simply omitted. I hope this helps and is useful to you and others who might want to try this. It was tasty...
