    • Chicken Demi Glaze with Glazed Carrots

    Ingredients that you need to make this recipe

    • chicken breast- you can also use chicken thighs chicken breast little bigger and less fatty then thighs
    • shallot - you could also use an onion but shallot has a little stronger flavor and is a little smaller 
    • water helps to let the carrots cook and soften and keep them from over cooking
    • Brown sugar helps ad a nice glaze tot the carrots with some nice sweetness 
    • chicken Demi glaze made from chicken stock that has been reduced with other seasonings. If you want to try and make it on your gown here is a recipe.  Also sometimes know as Satureja montana
    • savory seasoning- this a key ingredient in French cooking. Has kind of a thyme piney peppery flavor
    • butter - helps to added flavor and help mo get the sugar
    • . Herbes de Provence- comes from France and is a mix of thyme, rosemary, oregano, marjoram, and savory and also some times has basil, bay leaf and fennel
    •  pecan - like to used slice pecans 
    • Cooking oil used for cooking to help brown the chicken
    • Addinral Seasoning nice little bit of salt and pepper to make the at it the flavors come out more

    How to make this amazing recipe

    • Prepare the ingredients pat dry the chicken and season 
    • Cooking start the carrots in a pot with water seasoning cook tell tender over medium heat
    • Cook the chicken brown in pan and place in oven 400 degrees and let cooked tell reach an internal temp of 165
    • Make sauce added shallots to pan and Cooke with glaze and bring to boil with water and let cook the. Take off heat and added butter
    • Plate and enjoy
    Seasoned chicken sitting on aluminum foil well has a nice brown color on it as well

    Variations that you can try

    • Change the protin try using salmon
    • Change up the carrots with broccoli or sweet potatoes 
    • Change up the seasoning

    Ingredients
      

    • 2 lbs chicken breast
    • 2 shallot peel andmince
    • 6 carrots skinned and cut at ½” at wen angle
    • ¾ cup water
    • 2 tablespoons
    • 1 tablespoon chicken Demi glaze
    • 1 tablespoon savory seasoning
    • 2.5 table spoons butter
    • 2 tsp. Herbes de Provence
    • ¼ cup Toasted pecan slices
    • Cooking oil
    • Salt
    • Pepper

    Equipment

    • sheet pan
    • pan
    • pot

    Method
     

    Chicken
    1. Preheat oven to 400
    2. Pat chicken try and Season with the savory seasonin
    3. Play 2 teaspoons of cooking oil and long stick pan place chicken and pan brown on each side for about two minutes after chicken browns
    4. Take out of pan place on tinfoil on a baking sheet and place in the oven to cook for about 10 more minutes until reaches an internal temperature 165.
    Carrots
    1. Brown carrots in pot with a small amount of cooking oil about 5 minutes
    2. Added water and ½ butter brown suger and salt and pepper tast cover and cook for 10 minutes stirring occasionally
    3. Uncovering that simmer into water evaporates off
    Sauce
    1. Place pan that you cooekee the chicken back over medium heat add small amount of cooking oil and shallots to pan occasionally for about two minutes until we become tender
    2. Added ½ cup water chicken Demi glaze, chicken Demi glaze, add pepper to taste and bring back to a boil
    3. Remove from burner and added remaining butter and stir in
    Finish
    1. Plate added pecan over carrots and serve enjoy
