    This roasted asparagus recipe is one of the simplest side dishes. Fresh asparagus  tossed with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and Parmesan.

    If you’re making a quick meal or planning a special one, this roasted asparagus is a delicious vegetable side dish everyone will enjoy.

    Ingredients

    •  asparagus - want to pick fresh that has tight ends and small wooky area 
    •  olive oil - helps the seasoning stick and helps the vegetables crisp up
    • Seasoning - salt, black pepper and garlic gives a nice flavor to the disb
    • Parmesan cheesehelps added some flavor to the dish that is rich
    •  lemon juice - addes some citrus and a nice fresh flavor 
    Asparagus is laid out all in one layer. See you later Parmesan cheese that has been sprinkled up on them.

    Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
    2. Prepare the asparagus  Wash the asparagus and pat dry. Trim the tough woody ends from each spear. Place asparagus on a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with seaosninf. Toss until evenly coated.
    3. Cooking - Spread into a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast for 10–15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the asparagus. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese during the last couple of cooking.
    4. Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice if desired and serve and enjoy

    Tips

    • Choose asparagus spears that are firm and tightly  ends.
    • Thin asparagus cooks faster than thick.
    • Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet or you will get steamed  asparagus instead of roast.
    • Freshly Parmesan melts better than pre-shredded.
    • Add the lemon juice after roasting for the freshest.
    Asparagus has been cooked. This is the closer see a little bit of the asparagus along with some of the cheese and other seasoning

    Variations

    • Add crispy bacon pieces forsome addintal flavor.
    • Change the cheese Sprinkle with mozzarella instead of Parmesan.
    • Season with Italian seasoning or one ofyour favorites.
    • Add heat with red pepper flakes.
    • Try topping with toasted nuts  likealmonds or pine nuts for extra crunch.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 pound fresh asparagus
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 cloves garlic minced
    • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
    • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional

    Method
     

    1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
