Method
Dough
- Activate the yeast get a glass of warm water about 105 and 2 teaspoon of sugar and yeast and mix lightly let sit for about 5 -15 minutes tell you to start to see bubbles
- Add all of the dough ingredients to the mixer bowl. You can also add the yeast mixture if it is ready
- if it has not started to bubble start the yeast mixture over and if it doesn’t work you
- Mix ingredients in the bowl. Mix for about 5 minutes or till the dough is no longer sucking to the sides has come together. Normally you will need to add a little flour during this process
- Once this is done leave in a bowl in the bowl and let rise for an hour
Filling
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and set aside until the dough is ready.
- Once the dough is ready pull out the dough (doubled in size) into flour and flatten it out into about 18x14 should be about ¼ inch rectangle
- Know meat the filling butter and bread out over the dough and sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar mix test over it and then spread out as needed
- Then it is time to roll it up
- Now is the time that you have to make a choice: Do you want small cinnamon rolls or big
- We like them to be a little more bite-size for the kids so most people roll from the shirt side we roll from the long side so you end up with a smaller toll you can do it the other way they will just be different sizes
- Once you have rolled
- You will then want to use a very sharp knife or you will want to use floss to cut the roll in about 1 inche.
Glaze
- Add the remaining butter and add the bit of milk and the powdered sugar to get her to make the glaze (honestly I don’t like a lot of glasses so if you like a lot you may want to double the glaze party to cover then but for me, this is enough)
