This is an amazing casserole that does take a little planing as you make it the night before to let it set before you cook it the next morning. Has an amazing combination of egg and bacon and has a nice bread. This is an amazing overnight breakfast casserole

Ingredients

Night before ingredients
  • 14-16 Slices white bread
  • 4 cups greated cheeder cheese
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 8 large eggs
  • 5 cups milk you really need 6 as you will need one cut for too in the morning
Morning toping
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 ½ teaspoon dry mustard optional

Equipment

  • Frying pan
  • casserole dish 13x9

Method

  1. Take the bread and put it in the pan break it up as needed to be able to feel each bottom then place a layer of cheese on top then place a second layer of bread and cheese then repeat tell  you just a little lower than the top off the baking tray. This will normally be two to three layers. depending on the size of the pan
  2. Mix up the eggs and milk and pour them over the top of the bread
  3. Cook the bacon on the stovetop in a pan or you can cook it in the oven as well. Feel like I have a little bit better control pan so that is my preferred method.
  4. Once it is cooked and crispy and cool enough to touch  break a part the bacon on top once you have done this it is ready for the fridge
  5. Place in the fridge and let sit overnight
  6. In the morning before adding the last two ingredients  pull the casserole out of there fridge  and mix the milk and the soup  and milk together  then pour on the top and place it in the oven for 1.5 hours at 300 Fahrenheit
  7. Pull out of the oven and serve
