  • 12 Cups dry bread crumbs
  • ½ Cup Butter
  • 2 Cups Yellow Onion Diced
  • 2 Cups celery Diced
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic salt
  • ½ tsp dried rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon old bay
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 ½ cups cups chicken broth

Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • Frying pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • spatula

Method

  1. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, celery, and seasoning. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until the onions are soft and translucent.
  2. In a bowl mix eggs and chicken broth together and set aside for later.
  3. In a very large bowl, add bread crumbs, and vegetables. Fold into the dry bread crumbs while slowly adding in chicken broth.
  4. Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Add stuffing and cook on high for 3-4 hours.

Notes

  • Depending on how dry the bread crumbs are. You may use more or less chicken broth. It will be around 2 - 3 cups and the stuffing should be moist, but there should be no standing fluid.
  • If doing more than one batch you may need to do it in more than one batch in the vegetables and mix it together.
